Learning is part of everything we do for the rest of our lives, and it should not be viewed as tedious "work", but as an exciting adventure! It is my philosophy that students need to be actively engaged to help them achieve rigorous expectations to reach their maximum potential. 

I strive to meet the individual needs of each student in the classroom with hands- on, differentiated, developmentally appropriate activities and tasks. Students are taught to problem solve and use higher order thinking in daily tasks. They are taught to be independent, responsible, and respectful of themselves, classmates, and the learning that happens every day. I believe in teaching them to take risks, believe in themselves, and to work together to solve problems.
